PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas-liquid separator the separation efficiency of which can be kept high by efficiently separating condensate water falling along the inner peripheral wall surface of steam piping. SOLUTION: An inlet 1 and an outlet 2 are formed at both ends of a casing 3 of the separator and a cylindrical liquid collecting member 4 is built in the casing 3. A liquid flow passage 5 is arranged between the liquid collecting member 4 and the casing 3. The cross-sectional area of a lower liquid flow passage 7 is made larger than that of an upper liquid flow passage 8. A liquid discharging port 6 is fitted to the bottom end of the flow passage 7. The condensate water falling along the inner peripheral wall surface of the steam piping is made to flow in the gas-liquid separator 12 through the inlet 1 and pass through the liquid collecting member 4 and the liquid flow passages 7, 8 and discharged to the outside from the liquid discharging port 6, so that the condensate water can be separated from steam.
