PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the down time of a monitor system and a loss due to this down time when there is a monitor abnormal in a display state among a plurality of monitors. SOLUTION: An image display system 10 inputs video signals, performs image processing, and displays a photographic image and a fluoroscopic image based on a photographic image input signal h<SB>a</SB>and a fluoroscopic image input signal h<SB>b</SB>being the video signal obtained by the image processing on a photographing monitor 13a and a fluoroscopic monitor 13b, respectively. The display system 10 is provided with: a photographing monitor abnormality detection circuit 26a for outputting an abnormality signal e<SB>a</SB>when abnormality is detected as the result of performing the abnormality detection of the photographing monitor 13a based on a photographing image output signal l<SB>a</SB>outputted from the photographing monitor 13a; and an image forming circuit 24 which receives the abnormality signal e<SB>a</SB>, composes a photographic image signal g<SB>a</SB>to be inputted to an abnormal photographing monitor 13a whose abnormality is detected and a fluoroscopic image signal g<SB>b</SB>to be inputted to a normal photographing monitor 13a, and outputs the composed input signal k<SB>ab</SB>to a normal fluoroscopic monitor 13b.
