<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catheter and a catheter assembly capable of being precisely inserted into the target site without wandering off into another site and sucking liquids under the condition in which the tip surface of the catheter is brought into close contact with the inner wall surface of a body lumen. <P>SOLUTION: The catheter has a catheter body 2 having flexibility with a hollow part formed along the longitudinal direction and a catheter connector arranged at the proximal end side of the catheter body 2. The catheter body 2 is formed near the tip end, and has a naturally bending catheter angle part and at least one notch 24 at the tube wall of the tip end 22 of the catheter body 2, and the inside and outside of the catheter body 2 communicates through the notch 24 under the condition in which the tip end surface 221 of the catheter body 2 is brought into contact with the inner wall surface (vascular wall 100) of the body lumen. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
