PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the retrieval of publications even with only an ambiguous interest in a person. SOLUTION: The publication retrieval server is a server connected to a network to which a customer terminal is connected. The server has a function of displaying a chronology describing past events and either or both of the portraits and names of persons involved in the respective events in the order of occurrence thereof, either or both of the portrait and name of each person being linked to information related to the respective person, on a terminal; and the function of displaying, when the portrait or name of any person is selected by a customer on the terminal, information related to the selected person on the terminal; and the function of displaying, when the information related to the selected person contains information for publications related to the person, or a point linked to information for publications related to the person is present, and this position is selected by the customer, displaying the information for publications related to the person on the terminal.
