PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet head which can stably form a dot of a desired size on a recording medium, even if an ink droplet is continuously ejected at a high speed, and an inkjet recording apparatus. SOLUTION: An ejection electrode 18, to which an ejection voltage for ejecting ink is applied, is formed on a head substrate 12. This can make an ejection port substrate 16 thin, and can make an ejection port 28 short. A surface, whereon an inner wall of the substrate 16 forming the ejection port 28 is brought into contact with the ink, is reduced for a decrease in friction, and the property of the ejection of the ink droplet from the ejection port 28 is improved. A charged coloring material particle in a main channel 30 is moved to the ejection port 28 by using an electric field which is directed upward in Fig. and generated from the ejection electrode 18 by a bias voltage, and a desired numbers of coloring material particles are concentrated in the ejection port 28. The dot of the desired size can be stably formed on the recording medium, even if the droplet is continuously ejected at the high speed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
