<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell which has a small size and an excellent energy conversion efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: In the fuel cell, a vaporized dimethyl ether (fuel) sent to a reforming unit 3 becomes a reformed gas which is reformed by a reforming unit 3 and contains a hydrogen. A channel through which a fuel passes, is provided in the interior of the reforming unit 3. A first catalyst for expediting the reaction for reforming the fuel into the reformed gas and a second catalyst for expediting the reaction for converting the carbon monoxide of a by-product into a carbon dioxide are provided on the inner wall surface of the channel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
