<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus carrying out stable image formation preventing a transfer void occurring in a high printing ratio image after continuous or prolonged formation of images of low printing ratio. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus is provided with a means forming images of a plurality of patches on a photoreceptor, applying transfer current to a plurality of patch images, detecting the stuck amount of transferred toner, and controls discharged amount of the toner ejected from a developing device based on this detected density. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
