PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a room temperature-curable organopolysiloxane composition which has excellent workability before cure, is adhesive to various base materials such as glass, plastics or metals, and can form a silicone elastomer without suffering from curing inhibition at the contact surface with a silicone elastomer or a cured product of an elastomer other than silicone elastomers, particularly a modified silicone elastomer having a main chain comprising a hydrocarbon chain such as polyoxyalkylene or polyisobutylene. SOLUTION: The room temperature-curable organopolysiloxane composition comprises (A) a single compound comprising (a) a diorganopolysiloxane having both ends of its molecular chain blocked with a hydroxy group or an alkoxy group or (b) a diorganopolysiloxane having one end of its molecular chain blocked with a hydroxy group or an alkoxy group and the other end of its molecular chain blocked with an alkyl group or an alkenyl group, or a mixture of (a) and (b), (B) a specific crosslinking agent, and (C) a curing catalyst comprising a mixture obtained by a heat treatment of a specific diorganopolysiloxane and a bivalent or tetravalent dialkyltin compound.
