ELECTROSTATIC CHARGE IMAGE DEVELOPING TONER AND DEVELOPER, AND METHOD FOR FORMING IMAGE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS USING THE DEVELOPER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrostatic charge image developing toner resulting high picture quality when a toner of a small particle diameter is used and realizing a favorable and stable high-picture quality image even for a long-term use, and to provide an electrostatic charge image developing toner having a long life and causing no filming of the toner. SOLUTION: The toner is obtained by removing an organic solvent from a dispersion liquid of minute drop particles and contains modified polyester resin as a binder resin. The toner has 3 to 7μm weight average particle diameter (D4) with 1.01 to 1.25 ratio (D4/Dn) of the weight average particle diameter (D4) to the number average particle diameter (Dn), and contains toner particles having≤4μm particle diameter by <10 % in number and/or particles having≥8μm particle diameter by <2 volume%. The toner is prepared by adding and mixing an external additive having 5 to 20 nm primary particle diameter and 50 to 200 nm secondary particle diameter to the mother toner having 0.93 to 0.99 average circularity, by 0.3 to 5.0 pts.wt. of the external additive to 100 parts by weight of mother toner.
