<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce influence of leakage current, to obtain sufficient light emitting luminance and to realize picture display of high quality in an EL display device of a current setting system. <P>SOLUTION: A voltage buffer circuit 1 is arranged in a preceding stage of a pixel circuit 2 of a current setting system. In a period before a pixel current setting period, a prescribed current signal i(x) supplied to a data line 11 is set to M8.
