PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for improving visual field condition in an automobile. SOLUTION: The device relates to the device for improving the visual field condition in the automobile provided with a radiation source 2 of infrared ray irradiating a periphery of the vehicle; a camera 3 for photographing an image of at least a part of the irradiated periphery and detecting the infrared ray; a display device unit 4 for displaying collected image data; and a control unit 1 for controlling the device. It is embodied in response to collected image data by the control unit in the form that the display device is switched to ON or OFF. An image evaluation unit 6 connected to the camera and the control unit and evaluating the collected image data regarding profile of a road surface, the state of the road surface, the state of weather or an amount of traffic is realized. In response to this, it is proved that it is effective that the display device is switched to OFF or ON.
