FIELD: plastic working of metals, possibly manufacture of heads of socket wrenches of high -strength alloy steels. ^ SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of cutting off cylindrical blank, deforming it; preliminarily forming stepped outer surface in second shaping position; transferring blank to third position and at side of its large-diameter end pressing out square cross section cavity. Size of square side of said cavity consists 1.03 - 1.1 of size of side of square of ready part. Depth of said cavity is equal to that of ready part. Then blank is transferred in parallel to fourth position and through preliminarily pressed out cavity in floating die shaped cavity (having final dimension at side of its less diameter) is pressed out by means of square cross section punch. Size of square cross section of punch consists 0.94 - 0.98 of minimum size of square side of square cross section cavity pressed out beforehand. Pressing out procedure is started when step outer surface of blank rests upon shoulders of die. In description of invention relation is given for determining condition of pressing out profiled shape. ^ EFFECT: improved strength of tool for cold upsetting, simplified design and tuning of fitting. ^ 2 dwg |
