The cartridge has a movable temperature control unit (6H) whose position in a cover (2) determines passages between inlet orifices and a mixing chamber. A thermostatic unit (6E) is sensitive to the temperature of mixed water in the chamber to adjust its position. Check valves are arranged between inlet orifices and an inlet passage in the chamber and avoid the flow of water from the chamber towards orifices. An independent claim is also included for a water distribution installation including a thermostatic cartridge.
