The burner (1) has a central oxidant injection tube (2) in which a fuel injection tube is arranged. Peripheral oxidant injection tubes (4) are regularly distributed around the central tube, where the oxidant circulates in the central and peripheral tubes. An air supply duct supplies air to the peripheral and central tubes. A fumes supply duct supplies combustion fumes of a boiler to the peripheral tubes. An independent claim is also included for a fire tube boiler.
