PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the durability of the sealing performance of a water heating pipe junction section in a water heater for supplying hot water. SOLUTION: The water heater comprises a water heater pipe 6 having a flange 7; a cylindrical connecting port 5; and a seal material 8 made of a corrosion-resistant steel plate nearly in a donut disk shape. In the seal material 8, a rubber material 8a is adhered and integrally formed on the junction surface with the flange 7, the junction surface with the connecting port 5, and an inner end face, and then is subjected to valcanization treatment.
