PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an object detection sensor with a simple constitution having high sensitivity and good temperature characteristics. SOLUTION: Initiation side withdrawal parts 12b and 13b and termination side withdrawal parts 12c and 13c of coils for excitation 12 and 13 are arranged to run in parallel on nearly the same location to form one unit withdrawal parts U12 and U13. By employing a constitution that nearly the same currents flow to opposite directions in the initiation side withdrawal parts 12b and 13b and the termination side withdrawal parts 12c and 13c of coils for excitation 12 and 13 constituting the one unit withdrawal parts U12 and U13, unnecessary magnetic fields formed by the currents flowing the initiation side withdrawal parts 12b and 13b and the termination side withdrawal parts 12c and 13c are mutually negated, and they are canceled.
