PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation system and a history information display method, capable of easily selecting a desired destination through the use of a history of destinations set in the past, facilities having been once retrieved, etc. SOLUTION: A control part 29 records destinations set in the past and retrieved facilities in a history memory part 37 to take a history record. When a destination is set through the use of recorded history information, the destinations and the retrieved facilities are classified and displayed by the time of setting or retrieval and category. Even if the registered history information has substantially increased, the desired destination and the retrieved facilities can be found easily, since the display is classified by time of setting or retrieval and category.
