<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure the reliability of an IC card connection of a portable terminal device by preventing damage to an IC card and a connector in a card housing even under the impact of fall or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The card housing 12 inside which the connector 13 for electrically connecting the IC card 11 is provided is supported by a floating support member 16 as it is floated inside a body case 1 in such a way as to be movable in the directions (directions of arrows X, Y) in which the IC card 11 is inserted and removed. Thus, under the impact of a fall or the like, the card housing 12 supported by the floating support member 16 moves in the directions in which the IC card 11 is inserted and removed to absorb the impact of fall and the like.
