PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost security device having a wide surveillance region and no erroneous detection caused by the intrusion of a small animal, or a bird, and the like. SOLUTION: When a person walks on a ballast 5, the weight of the person moves the ballast 5 which collides with a vibration transmission pipe 1. Vibration is generated on the vibration transmission pipe 1. The vibration is transmitted, through the vibration transmission pipe 1, to a vibration sensor 2 and is detected by the vibration sensor 2. Upon detecting the vibration, the vibration sensor 2 sends a detection signal associated with vibration magnitude, through a line 3, to an annunciation unit 4. The annunciation unit 4 compares the level of the detection signal from the vibration sensor 2 to a previously set threshold.
