PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an address recognition apparatus and a paper sheets treatment system which enable address information to be distinguished with respect to an image on paper sheets according to priority and timing for treating respective images to be adjusted according to priority. SOLUTION: A sorting apparatus at a central post office establishes the priority toward images on the paper sheets sent from an accepted office and treatment to the images on respective paper sheets is performed according to the priority.
