<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shift access restriction information owned by an old storage device to a new storage device. <P>SOLUTION: A management server 2200 acquires a port management TL 2445 installed in an old stage device 2400 through an LAN 2600 different from a fiber channel network used for data communication. Also, a port list TL 2555 is acquired from a new storage device 2500 through the LAN 2600. Then, the port of the new storage device 2500 used for access to the volume of the old storage device is selected based on the port list TL 2555. Then, the selected port of the new storage device 2500 is set with the access restriction information of the port of the old storage device 2400 assigned with the volume whose access is performed by using the port based on the port management TL 2445. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
