<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display inspecting device and its inspecting method by which a crack of a protective sheet stuck for protecting a polarizing plate of an LCD can be exactly detected and it can be prevented that the crack of the protective sheet is judged as a spot defect by mistake. <P>SOLUTION: The surface of the protective sheet is imaged and the crack of the protective sheet is detected and stored, all pixels of red, green and blue of the liquid crystal display are individually lit, the surface of the protective sheet is imaged and lit pixel patterns of respective colors are detected in every case when all pixels of red, green and blue are lit, and the pixel patterns and the position of the crack of the protective sheet are collated with each other. When the patterns and the position of the crack are coincident, the crack is judged as no point defect and when not coincident with each other, the crack is judged as the point defect. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
