<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cellulose acylate film which has low moisture permeability, high durability and low birefringence, and is less in frame edge phenomena and excellent in suitability for bonding a polarizing plate, all of which are required for the polarizing plate protective film in the cellulose acylate film. <P>SOLUTION: In the polarizing plate in which a first protective film, a polarizer, and a second protective film are bonded together in that order, the second protective film is a protective film on the liquid crystal cell side. The moisture permeability of the first protective film is lower than that of the second protective film.
