PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound absorbing structure capable of dealing with sound having a wide frequency range while carrying out a sound insulating measure easily even for an existing sash of an ordinary type in a general sash maintaining good opening and closing operability of a shoji screen, providing a cremorne handle and having no double sash construction. SOLUTION: The sash (1) forms a sound propagation path communicating between an outdoor part (51) and an indoor part (52) in a gap (50) between the shoji screens (3) and (3) and a sash frame member (5) in which the shoji screens (3)and (3) are fitted.
