<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera capable of preventing an image, based on the photographed image data from becoming an image which a photographer does not intend. <P>SOLUTION: A system control part 9 detects face areas from image data obtained by photographing a subject, when performing a photographic preparation operation of an imaging part 1 for photographing the subject, and selects the number of face areas, which corresponds to the photographing mode of the imaging part 1 from the detected face areas and utilizes the selected face areas to determine the photographic conditions of the imaging part 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
