<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reader/writer that can select information from RF tags by an extremely simple structure, without increasing the load on a CPU. <P>SOLUTION: ID information 10 regarding the RF tag 1 includes filtering information for information filtering in the reader/writer 2. A filter 22 in the reader/writer 2 first matches the received filtering information, with setting information for necessary information selection (filtering), and only if they match, supplying is carried out for received information, from the RF tag 1 to an LSI 23. If not, the received information is discarded.
