PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spreader capable of easily pushing the front end face of a segment lining body and, at the same time, well-balanced pushing the front end face of the segment lining body even if a position of a fastener placed on the front end face of the segment lining body is changed in the circumferential direction of the lining body. SOLUTION: The spreader 32 put on a propulsive jack 31 of a shield machine 30, abutted on the front end face 20a of the segment lining body 20 constructed by connecting segment pieces 1 to each other and capable of being pushed by operation of the propulsive jack 31 is so constituted that a push pressure section 32a abutting on the front end face 20a of the segment lining body 20 has a longer shape extended in the direction along the circular shape of the front end face 20a, at the same time, a recess 32b extended in the direction along the circular shape of the front end face 20a and that a part 12 of the fastener 10 connecting between the segment pieces 1 can be inserted into the recess 32b.
