<p>A method, system and device for processing policy and charging control apply to communications technology. In the embodiment of the invention, a Policy and Charging Rules Function (PCRF) sends to an Application Function (AF) an information which indicates whether a network is capable of processing Policy and Charging Control (PCC) on the service of a user equipment, the AF sends a media message according to the reported PCC control capability, and instructs the network to process the PCC control on said user equipment service; alternatively, the AF instructs the user equipment to initiate a resource request. In embodiments of the invention, the network triggers the policy and charging control on the service of the user equipment according to the PCC capability of the actual access network; it does not occur that the AF repeatedly requests the PCC control because of a difference between the PCC capability requested by the AF and the PCC capability of the actual network, thus the interaction of the Rx interface is reduced, and the influence of the network on the session of the user equipment in the application layer is reduced.</p> |
