The machine to handle sheets for printing has a sheet transport drum (6), with a drum shaft (23) and side supports (11) for the sheets which are adjustable within guides (12) in the peripheral direction in relation to the shaft. The guides are linked to the drum shaft through rockers. The side supports are mounted on springs (13), which apply a spring force against the direction of drum rotation and outwards from the drum. The drum is fitted with grips (7) and suckers (8) to carry the sheets.
