<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein a conventional carbon monoxide reduction system is large, comprises many components and requires complex manufacturing steps, due to the bulkiness of a part wherein a CO-containing treatment gas is mixed with an oxidizer gas. <P>SOLUTION: A catalyst layer 1 and a refrigerant layer 3 are established in a carbon monoxide reduction system. The catalyst layer 1 comprises a catalyst installed in a passage of the CO-containing treatment gas, and the refrigerant layer 3 is in contact with the catalyst layer via a partition part 4 which can exchange heat with the treatment gas. In the refrigerant layer, an oxidizer gas-feeding part 11 is installed adjacent to its edge and has a communicating part 13 for feeding the oxidizer gas to the treatment gas outside the catalyst layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
