<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system capable of sufficiently dissolving flooding with a small current by an electrochemical hydrogen transportation method. <P>SOLUTION: In this fuel cell system having a fuel cell stack 11 provided with a power generating layer composed of a high polymer electrolyte membrane and an anode electrode and a cathode electrode holding the high polymer electrolyte membrane between them, and a current extracting plate 12 to extract a current obtained by power generation of the fuel cell stack 11, the current extracting plate 12 disposed on the cathode electrode side is electrically divided into two or more plates in its surface direction, and the divided current extracting plate 12b is connected to an external power supply 15 and the current extracting plate 12 disposed on the anode electrode side through an external shut-off switch 16 which are connected in series. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
