Lubricant is supplied simultaneously to bearing surfaces, some of which require a continuous and others a periodic lubrication. An electrically-driven toothed wheel pump 3 is switched on and off by a make-and-break timepiece 1, lubricating oil is supplied during the switch on period via a non-return valve 6 to a pressure bottle 7, and to a piston-type distributer 8. Oil is supplied continuously to a screw-thread drive 9, 9a and a fluid bearing 41, from bottle 7, and each time pump 3 is switched on, a dosed quantity of oil is supplied to guide paths 11 by a distributer 8. An adjustable cam disc 12 on a shaft 13 actuates a switch 16 which controls a solenoid 17, so that the latter periodically releases the supply of oil from bottle 7 to supply toggle lever joints 20, 21, 22. Cam 12 is set so that oil is supplied to the joints to coincide with the time of small load in the toggle movement. |
