<p>In a process to apply a coating of liquid or paste to one side of a moving web, the descending web passes around a drum (7) onto a horizontal plane and is presented to a descending fluid or paste curtain. The gusset zone prior to and following the drum incorporates a gusset plug (8a, 8b). The gusset plugs (8a, 8b) minimise the movement of surface boundary layer air.</p> |
