A cylindrical cooking pot has a sidewall with horizontal pivot fixtures for lifting handles. The handles pivot between a stowed position resting on the cooking pot outer surface, and lift to lock in the horizontal lifting presentation. The handle is deployed to the lifting position by a spring.
