PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the use of a custom-made voice, without transferring its data. SOLUTION: The plug-in board 2 of a mono-part sound source is loaded in the slot 1 of an electronic musical instrument body 1. This plug-in board 2 is provided with a board preset voice and a board custom-made voice obtained by editing this board preset voice, and the board custom-made voice is transferred from an external portion and stored in a volatile RAM. But this board custom-made voice is deleted when a power source is turned off, it is then stored in a nonvolatile flash ROM 11, and written in the RAM of the plug-un board 2 from a flash ROM 11 at powering up. Thereby, the board custom-made voice can be used without transferring it from the external portion. |
