MOBILE TELEPHONE AND BASE STATION SELECTING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique by which a communicable base station can be rapidly selected even in high-speed movement and handover is hardly caused. SOLUTION: The method is provided with a first step for contrasting specific information read from specific information sequentially stored in a storage means with specific information a1from a base station detected at a position P1by a detecting means; a second step for allowing the selecting means to select the base station A1detected by the detecting means, corresponding to the matched specific information a1if a result of contrast matches; a third step for reading the specific information sequentially stored at the subsequent position of the specific information a1from the storage means when a mobile station moves from the position P1to the position P2, and contrasting the read specific information with specific information a2from the base station detected by the detecting means at the position P2; and a fourth step of allowing the selecting means to select a base station A2detected by the detecting means, corresponding to the matched specific information a2if a result of contrast matches.
