摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system improved in starting property in a condition below 0&deg;C by reducing a pure water retention quantity necessary for the operation of a fuel cell, in an inside humidification type fuel cell utilizing a gas-liquid permeable porous material. <P>SOLUTION: This fuel cell system is equipped with a fuel cell stack formed by stacking unit cells each comprising: a membrane-electrode joint body 11a having an electrolyte membrane formed of a solid polymer film, and an electrode layer formed of a catalyst metal supported to both surfaces of the electrolyte membrane; separators 21 and 22 installed by catching the membrane-electrode joint body and formed so as to open passages for running a fuel gas or an oxidizer gas to the membrane-electrode junction body on one-side surfaces; and an LLC plate 23 installed in contact with one of the separators for running LLC. At least one of the separators for running the fuel gas or the oxidizer gas is formed of the gas-liquid permeable porous material; a pure water passage 27 for running pure water is formed on the back surface of the one-side surface with the passage of separator formed of the porous material formed; and the pure water passage is formed at a position corresponding to the vicinity of the entrance of the gas passage. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
