PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set a time synchronizing position so as to effectively utilize the power of a delayed wave. SOLUTION: The reception apparatus comprises a receiving part 2 connected to an antenna 1, a time synchronizing part 3, and a demodulation part 4. The receiving part 2 comprises a frequency converting part 5 for converting a received signal that is received by the antenna 1, into an intermediate frequency signal, a quadrature demodulation part 6 for generating an I signal and a Q signal by applying quadrature demodulation to the intermediate frequency signal, and an A/D conversion part 7 for converting the I signal and the Q signal into a digital baseband signal. The time synchronizing part 3 comprises a correlation computing part 8, a fast arriving wave estimator 9, and a synchronizing position determining part 10. An FFT window is set so that the end of the FFT window come just a little before the end of a fast arriving wave, so that the power of the delayed wave is effectively utilized and reception characteristics can be improved.
