<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller of motor driven 4WD vehicle capable of simplifying the device structure, and to provide a control method. <P>SOLUTION: The controller of motor driven 4WD vehicle comprises a 42V alternator 2 driven by an engine 1 to generate three-phase AC power of 42 V, a rectifier circuit 14 for rectifying the three-phase AC power generated from the 42V alternator 2 and supplying the rectified DC power to a motor M1 for driving the rear wheel, a step-up/down inverter 3 for stepping down the power generated from the 42V alternator 2 to 14 V and converting the AC power subjected to stepping down into a DC power, and a 14V battery E1 being charged with the power obtained from the step-up/down inverter 3. Since a generator for charging the 14V battery E1 can also serve as a generator for generating the driving power for the motor M1, the arrangement can be simplified. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
