<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continue temperature rise control when idling without generating a trouble even if temperature sensors necessary to optimize waiting time and operating time of an exhaust temperature raising means are failed. <P>SOLUTION: The exhaust emission control device is provided with a medium reproduction type particulate filter 12, the exhaust temperature raising means (fuel injection device 18) for raising temperature of the exhaust gas 9 upstream of the particulate filter 12, the temperature sensor 20 for measuring intake temperature (open air temperature), the temperature sensor 14 for measuring exhaust temperature as a substitute value for medium floor temperature of the filter 12, a control device 15 for deciding waiting time on the basis of the temperature detected by the temperature sensor 20 and carrying out temperature rise control for intermittently operating the exhaust temperature raising means. When the temperature sensor 20 is failed, the shortest waiting time in a waiting time control range is selected, and when the temperature sensor 14 is failed, the longest operating time in an operating time control range is selected to continue the temperature rise control. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
