PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink cartridge which can be easily inserted and removed without generating troublesome smears by surely sealing an ink channel. SOLUTION: A seal 8 comprising a contact plate 9 forming a seal surface opening an outflow opening orifice provided outside a housing 2 by being prepared from elastomer, is inserted into an orifice of a lower end part of the housing of the ink cartridge 1. A ring part 11 adjacent to a crest part of a contact plate is provided around the flow channel connected to the outflow opening orifice. The ring part 11 guides the flow channel to the inside of the housing. Since a circular flange 13 protruding over the end part of the orifice inside the housing is provided, the seal part is stayed in the orifice. When the ink cartridge is inserted into a receptacle of an adapter, an ink jet printer head is formed. The seal surface is pressed onto a frame which has circumferential orifices for receiving and stopping the adapter to seal surely the ink channel. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
