<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illuminator formed by sealing an opening of a main body housing a lamp socket by making a lamp mounted on the lamp socket contact a packing arranged on the opening, of which, a part for mounting a member receiving a compression coil spring for pressing the lamp against the packing is made to be formed at the same time as molding the main body. <P>SOLUTION: A protrusion part 15 integrally formed on an inner peripheral surface of the main body 2 by a mold drawn out from one end of the opening 6 of the main body 2 is formed on the inner peripheral surface of the main body 2, and a hole 16 formed by the mold drawn out from the one end of the opening 6 of the main body 2, extending from an end part of the protrusion part 15 at an opening 6 side of the main body 2 in the direction opposite to the opening 6 side, are formed on the protrusion part 15.
