PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic radial tire which the service life is extended, and for which a plurality of times of the regeneration are implemented by preventing a reinforcing layer itself from becoming a stress concentrating factor, or suppressing the development of a crack on the end section when the reinforcing layer is provided on the belt end section or the carcass ply end section. SOLUTION: A carcass ply 1 for which cut cords are arranged in parallel is wound around a bead core 2, and arranged to a toroidal. At the same time, on the outer periphery of the crown section of the carcass ply, belt layers 3, 4, 5 and 6 for which the cut cords are arranged in parallel as well are arranged for this pneumatic radial tire. An auxiliary reinforcing layer 9 is arranged on at least one cord cut end section of the carcass ply 1 and the belt layers 3, 4, 5 and 6 as a main cord reinforcing layer in such a manner that the end in the width direction of the auxiliary reinforcing layer 9 is pushed out to the outside in the width direction or the outside in the radial direction to the cord cut end. On a surface of the auxiliary reinforcing layer 9, which faces the main cord reinforcing layer, a plurality of protuberances 10 with intervals in the tire circumferential direction are provided.
