PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope capable of easily performing observation and treatment by appropriately adjusting the distance to a subject deep inside a luminal organ, etc. SOLUTION: A distal end body 5 with an observation window 11 is connected to the distal end of an insertion part 1 in such a way that the distal end body can move in the front/rear directions, and an operation member 8 for operating the distal end body 5 to move forward/backward at the distal end of the insertion part 1 is disposed in a control part 2 connected to the base end side of the insertion part 1.
