PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a specimen container that prevents a mounted identification label from being released, prevents identification information listed on the identification label from being erased, and can easily and reliably read the identification information. SOLUTION: In the specimen container (tube) 1 for accommodating humor, such as blood and urine, and a specimen, such as reagent, inside, a recess 21 is provided at the bottom section 20, and the outer periphery of an identification plate 30 is locked to a locking section 22 provided at an inner surface 21b of the recess 21 for mechanical mounting.
