<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce undetected error decision in an erroneous/missing product inspection method for inspecting rightness of assembly parts, or the like by comparing a pattern extracted from the captured image of the assembly parts with a standard pattern, and to increase reliability in an inspection result. <P>SOLUTION: For image data, where the assembly parts are imaged, an image is enhanced at an image emphasis processing section 421 before an out-of-focus image is generated at a blurred image generation section 422, and further a pattern, such as the borderline of the assembly parts, is extracted from a blurred image at a borderline extraction section 423. The extracted pattern is checked against not only the standard pattern of the assembly parts stored into a standard pattern storage section 426 at a pattern matching processing section 424 in advance but also other standard patterns of the same kind of parts as the assembly parts for calculating the matching rate of both the patterns. Then, the matching rate of the pattern is compared with a prescribed threshold at a part decision section 425 for each standard pattern, thus judging the rightness of the assembly part 7 to be imaged and the presence or absence of the missing product. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
