PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire capable of enhancing the speed performance and durability of a tire. SOLUTION: The pneumatic tire 10 has a tread 26 having a shoulder, a belt structure 24 located below the tread 26, and a carcass. The carcass has two side walls, two inextensible annular beads 16, and a radial ply layer 12. In addition, the belt structure 24 an annular layer 28 consisting of a plurality of cords parallel to each other and directly adjacent to the radial ply structure 12. The annular layer 28 comprises a pair of opposing annular edge parts 34 and a continuous radius curve profile. An annular reinforcing strip layer 32 is located radially inward direction of each edge part of the annular layer 28, and each reinforcing strip layer 32 has a width of≤30 mm, and extends axially outward of the belt structure by a distance V of≤10 mm.
