PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing unit, a process cartridge, and an image forming apparatus by which an excellent image can be obtained, and an end part restricting member provided to them. SOLUTION: The developing unit has a developing blade 10e which forms the layer of a developer (t) to a specified thickness on the surface of a developing roller 10d, magnetic seals 10r which are provided at both lengthwise end parts of the developing roller 10d facing the surface of the developing roller 10d, and the end part restricting member 10t which restricts the layer thickness of the developer (t) having passed through the gap between the developing blade 10e and magnetic seals 10r, and the end part restricting member 10t is provided downstream from the developing blade 10e in the rotating direction of the developing roller 10d.
