摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a new polyphenol-polymer hybrid to expand polyphenol applications in view of the fact that polyphenols have been hopeful of application to the biomedical field through utilizing the effects such as anticancer effects and anti-inflammatory effects inherent thereto, and if such polyphenols are bound to organic polymers, the residence time of the resulting hybrids is estimated to be longer than that of low-molecular polyphenols, therefore the resulting hybrid polymers are hopeful of the increase in biochemical activity than low-molecular polyphenols, and technological development for the polymeric modification of low-molecular polyphenols including catechin, epigallocatechin gallate and rutin by hybridizing them with existing organic polymers has been desired. SOLUTION: A silsesquioxane-polyphenol hybrid is provided. This hybrid is obtained from an amino group-bearing silsesquioxane derivative and a polyphenol. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
