摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-aqueous electrolyte battery improved in thermal stability. <P>SOLUTION: A current collector for battery in which a part of the surface of a metal material made mainly of nickel has a fluoride containing nickel is used for a positive electrode current collector used for the non-aqueous electrolyte battery. As a positive electrode active material, a chalcogen compound containing nickel or one kind or two kinds or more of metal element having a larger ionization tendency than nickel, for example, a lithium transition metal compound oxide having a layered structure as expressed by a general formula Li<SB>x</SB>MO<SB>2</SB>or a lithium transition metal compound oxide having a spinel structure are provided.
